Acupuncture is right choice for your health
Here are 5 reasons why Acupuncture may just be the perfect approach to take your health to the next level.
1) It’s all about Qi ( Energy 氣)
By correcting the body’s energy, Acupuncture is treating the problem at the root. This is treating a cause, not just covering up a symptom.
When the right style of Acupuncture is applied, the vital energy that flows through that painful or diseased area is addressed and corrected.
This is the Qi ( Energy 氣i) that Acupuncture deals with. When the Qi is corrected, your painful area, shoulder, knee, hip, etc. can finally begin to heal!
2) Oh, Those Wonderful Effects from acupuncture treatment
You may be surprised to learn that Acupuncture has Good effects!
As we optimize the flow of Qi in the body, the whole body gets healthier and stronger. As we improve the flow of vital energy to one part of the body, the whole body is bathed in this renewed, flowing Qi. Long-standing health problems simply melt away as the body as a whole begins to heal itself. It’s great fun to when our patients at Lake Vue come in with lists of complaints they hadn’t even thought to mention to us that have now magically disappeared!
3) Acupuncture Saves You Money
By treating the cause of your health problem, Acupuncture doesn’t just fix a single issue, it actually makes you healthier. Acupuncture is about getting you well. It’s about getting free of drugs, doctors and procedures and all the incessant medical bills that come with being below ultimate health.
So yes, you might not get coverage up front (or maybe you will) but you’ll save bundles down the road. Plus, with more people using creative insurance tools like Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA’s) that do cover Acupuncture , the savings possibilities are even greater!
4) Acupuncture Doesn’t Hurt
Acupuncture needles are not like the needles we think of when we got to the doctor’s office and get a shot or have blood sampled. Those needles are hollow and thick. They actually displace the flesh much like a hole-punch on paper.
Acupuncture needles are thin, flexible, wires – basically like little pieces of guitar string. They’re whisker thin and solid, so they slide into the skin virtually painlessly.
The only discomfort associated with acupuncture is after the needle is inserted and then moved a little deeper into the acupuncture point; if a point has a lot of congested, blocked Qi, a quick dull twinge may be felt. This is a fleeting sensation called the de Qi and it is a sign that the stuck Qi has been unstuck!
5) Acupuncture treatment has an “ending”
Acupuncture is not one of those therapies that you need to keep doing in order to maintain the benefits you get. After your energy is improved to the point that your health issue is healed; you’re done. You graduate!
You now have a new level of health and vitality that is all yours! You own it! Many of our patients who will option to get a maintenance acupuncture once-a-month or so just keep their new found vitality and to help deal with the many of stresses of life.
The fundamental improvements to your core health and well-being are yours to enjoy and keep.
